The Easter weekend was a good one, but not without some danger! It kicked off with a long run. I met up with my run bud for a 13 miler that nearly took my life!
Ha, we had come to the end of a trail, and saw there as another trail on the other side of a pond. All we had to do to get there was scale a waterfall. It wasn’t my most graceful moment, but eventually got across.
Of course, when you run a lot, you need to reward yourself a lot. So a couple run buds and I met up for a quick nip.

Runners are normally happy people. Sometimes we need to mean mug tho to keep our competitors worried. And yes, I normally do keep a feather behind my ear. It’s a good look all around.
Easter day was rainy and gloomy. But I braved the wet stuff to get another 6+ miles in.
The rest of the day was nicely spent doing Easter fun things with family people.
All the weekend activities left me pretty exhausted. But I gotta muster up because now we have to chase toddlers who are all hopped up on leftover chocolate bunnies and jelly beans!
How bout you? Get in a bunny run? Get any Easter candy? Did you nearly fall off a waterfall too?

The title was so gripping I just HAD to read! π
Haha, I was thinking of you when I was writing it!
What Easter candy (wiping chocolate from corner of mouth)???
The waterfall looks pretty. Pretty dangerous and craggy. At least you made it without bruises or stitches!!
I had a nice 5 miler on Easter morning – was a gorgeous day – I only know from everyone’s beach sunrise pictures while I was still sleeping. It was worth it π
LOL!
Yeah, I don’t think they want people climbing on it – hence the rocks being so far apart. It was hairy for a second, but made it safely across!
Nice! You gotta love the gorgeous day runs – non runners really do miss out on a lot of stuff!
You really do live on the edge with your runs. Impressive with the waterfall. Looks like a fun and festive Easter for you guys.
I know, right?!? I’m so daredevil! π It was a good Easter, hope yours was as well!
I think you scaled that waterfall with style! Looks like you guys enjoyed Easter π
I worked the entire weekend (extended over here because of bank holiday) so made the most of it today!
Haha, thank you. The guy walking his dog watching me might have disagreed with you on that! π
Bummer about working the holiday weekend, but glad you made up for it!
Death defying run, so fitting for Easter!
LOL, good point!
I totally would have fallen into the water-way to stay dry!
Hahaha, I thought I was going to for a second, but held it together!
No waterfalls, alas, but I did get a good run in on my favorite local trail on a gorgeous Colorado Easter Sunday! Glad you made it safely, and hopefully you can get your GPS working soon!
Glad you had a good CO Easter and run! The GPS is hit or miss. I probably need to reset it or something. If only I weren’t so lazy…
I’m glad you took on the challenge of crossing the river. Mid run adventures are awesome! Happy belated Easter to you and your family!
Yessss! The trail ended, and we almost turned around, but then said, ‘lets go for it’.
Happy belated Easter to you and yours too!
You’ve got some pretty cute bunny kids π Nice job on the run with river crossings and all!
Our kids chocolate stash is going fast and it’s not their fault π
Haha, thank you! I guess they’re kind of cute.
Bummer about your kids’ candy π Ours our lucky that I don’t have a sweet tooth at all. They still have tons of halloween candy!
awwww i want a waterfall smack dab in the mid of my runs! fat chance getting one installed in NYC. bummer. love the bunny ears you gave yourself. π i didn’t run on Easter but i ran the day before, and i wore pastel colors to celebrate, so that counts as my Easter run, right? right.
Hahaha, well I’m pretty sure this one was man made, but it still looks nice! Ahhh, good thinking on matching your wardrobe to the holiday – so yes, that totally counts!
Aww your family is adorable!
Yeah, I guess they’re ok π Thank you!!!
Love the bunny theme! Sorry your GPS is acting up. Hopefully it’s an easy fix!!
I still got Easter candy courtesy of my grandmother. Even though we’re all adults now and we tell her NOT to bring any, she still thinks of us as little kids. I remember just two years ago she still wanted to hide the candy and make us search around the house for it… mind you, me and my sibs were all between 17-24 at the time. Oy!
Thank you! And yeah, hopefully I can get the GPS more accurate. It can be frustrating.
Hahahahahahahahaha, that’s awesome about your grandma! She doesn’t want you to grow up! Next year you should all wear bunny outfits and humor her!!!
