I’m pretty excited for this race!!! On Jan. 18 I’ll be running the Key West Half Marathon! It’s going to be a blast! You should join me if you can!

Here’s why I’m excited (in no particular order)…
1. It’s in Key West, Florida! Home to pirates, poets, & vagabonds. I’ve only been there once, and that was for 24 hours only, but I loved the laid back, anything goes, fun times vibes. I can’t wait to go back!

2. I spoke with the race director and she told me her main goal is for this to be a fun race with a fun after-party. I love that!
3. My sister ran this race last year and said it was an absolute blast! And Runner’s World just called it like the top destination 13.1 in USA!
4. Look at these race shirts. So over the top. I can’t wait to wear mine!

5. Look at these medals. They are conch shells with an actual wine stopper at the bottom. Colorful and practical!

6. My mom, dad, sis, & some friends will be running it too! It’s my dad’s first half. Should be a good first one!
7. It’s a running race. And running is my favorite!

OMG I love Key West and have thought about doing this race for some time. We were there last summer–it’s the best.
I’m really excited! I was only there for 24 hours, so I’m glad I get to take some time and explore this time. You should totally run it!

Holy awesome shirts Key West runner man. That sounds like it’s going to be an awesome race. I’m sure you’ll have a blast. I’d do the virtual race, however, the shipping and duties would likely result in $65 turning into $165, plus the exchange rate kind of sucks for us right now.
Ha, I’m glad you like them as much as me! I’m sure this is going to be a fun race for sure! Ha, bummer about the exchange rate. I had to deal with that when we went to Ireland a few years ago. Not a good exchange at all. Though Mexico had a really good rate! Hola!
That’s on my bucket list one day! Michael and I will be going back there for our honeymoon and I cannot wait! Key West is one of the coolest places ever.

Yes, it will be awesome!!! I’m originally from Ohio, and there are a ton of Ohioans in Florida. I guess the weather is the main draw. I don’t miss the winters, for sure!

The Southernmost Half & Marathon in Key West has been on my radar for a while now. I’ve never been! Judging by the race shirt, I’m sure it will be super fun!
