It’s been non-stop gangbusters lately. Let me try and ketchup…
Of course, Christmas was upon us, and so the kiddos were amped.
But the holidays don’t mean my legs get a break. And on Xmas Eve I met up with a big group of local runners for a morning run.
Christmas morning I went on a solo run. I saw a surprising amount of people at the park.
For my long run this week, I got in a half marathon. It was really really windy.
At the last minute my run bud messaged me and said she’d run with me. So glad she did. It made the miles go by much faster. We didn’t take a pic, but here’s us at last month’s Thanksgiving Day race.
While we were at the show, the grandparents took the kids to the zoo…
The next morning I met up with some more friends for a trail run. We got in 6+ miles, and even mixed in a little yoga…
But it doesn’t stop there. Next we took the kiddos to see Disney Live…
Ha, I gotta say that it was drastically different than the ‘Once’ show – a lot less ‘F-bombs’.
Anywhoodle, that night my friends messaged me that they wanted to go on a second run for the day, but this time it was around a fancy neighborhood that is famous for their Christmas lights.
So there it is, kids. The reason for my blog-cation. It’s been a crazy train time around here. Hopefully things will relax just a bit, but it has been a fun ride!
How bout you? Crazy Holidaze? Gettin your workouts in? Any fun group runs?

sounds like a blast!! I had a few holiday runs – none with cool tree poses tho!
Thanks, it was! Ha, you need to add in some tree poses on your next run! Do it!
Holy cow, you were busy! Way to still get in the runs!
p.s. love all the fam bam pics!
Thank you! It was hard to stay consistent with the holidays, but mission accomplished!
Wow that was quite a holiday whirlwind. Sounds like you had a lot of fun and got a lot of running in too. Love that pic of you and your wife. She is so beautiful!
Yes, it was a lot of fun, but so exhausting! The running doesn’t help with that, ha!
Thank you!!!
Sounds like a great time had by all! Love the pics of the fam and your running friends seem like a fun bunch!
Happy New Year!
It was a blasty blast! Thank you! They are a fun bunch. Happy new year to you!
Woah, busy Christmas! Glad you were able to enjoy family time. A friend of mine saw Once on Broadway this weekend–she loved it!
Yeah, it was pretty much non-stop. Good times though. Glad your friend enjoyed Once, it was awesome!
So many fun things!!! 🙂
I didn’t know there was a touring version of Once! Fun! I saw that show on broadway in NYC and really enjoyed it 🙂
So many fun things!
You’re lucky you got to see it on Broadway! That’d be cool. The touring version was pretty good tho!
Sounds like an action-packed Christmas! I’m hoping to see Once when the tour stops here in April. I doubt they’ll serve drinks in Utah though.
Totally action packed! Ooooh, get your tix! I hope you get to see it! Ha, yeah, Utah liquor laws are the worst!
you and your poses! and you have some seriously cute kiddos.
I concur with Shawna.
Ha, why thanks!
Ha, I try to keep it silly. Thank you, yeah, I think they’re alright too. 😉
I really don’t understand why you didn’t blog every day. Looks like you were just having a lot of fun…. JK of course. What a blast! I didn’t run much in December, but when I did, I didn’t run by yard ornaments (will correct next year) and my shadow scared me. In my defense, I hadn’t run in the dark for a while. Looks like you have a fun bunch to run with – awesome! Running with friends is the best. Happy 2015!
Ha, I used to, but now I’m trying to blog a few times a week, but have more substance to each post. Yeah, trying to have some fun!
Ha, to be honest, the yard decorations on my solo morning runs did scare me a few times. Funny what your mind does when you’re alone in the dark. Yes, those run friends are pretty crazy. You should hear the conversations we had – very inappropriate. Happy 2015 to you!
Wow! You stayed busy over the holidays! Glad you had fun and got some great pictures! Love the “wild yoga poses”!
So busy! Thank you! Ha, yeah, yoga in the wild is the bestest!
You now need a vacation. I am worn out just reading about your seriously busy week. [going to nap]
LOL, sorry to wear you out. Imagine how I feel!
WOW WOW WOW!!! Lot of fun and fabulous pictures!! So adorable!! Have an amazing week!! XOXO
THANK YOU!!!! It’s been a fun ride. I hope your week is amazing too! XOXO
Haha, I love your randomness!!
Ha, it’s crazy how random life can be…
Aw, I love all the family pictures. You all look so happy 😀 How many Disney shirts do you own? You sure do have a few! I still haven’t run a Disney race yet, but I’m trying to play my cards right. I think my boyfriend will run for wine if we do the Wine’n’Dine Dash one year!
Thanks! and LOL, well at the Dopey Challenge we were given 6 shirts. Plus I’ve run the Disney Marathon like 3 other times. So yes, I have a collection. You should totally run a Disney race – they go all out!!!!!
I’m always in awe of how big your group runs are.
I am lucky to have so many groups I can run with on any given day. So glad to be a part of the community.
Wow! You sure we’re busy with fun stuff over the holidays. I was excited to read you saw Once. We saw it in London this September and absolutely loved it. Next time we’re in NYC we’re going to get tickets to see it again. Did your show start with the hootenanny too?
Yes, it’s hard to keep up with all the blog stuff with so much going on in my life, but I try! Yes, Once was awesome and it did start with a hootenanny. But you had to one up me by saying you saw it in London, didn’t you? And then NYC? Come on!
I’d go see it if my local theater did it. It’s such a terrific play.
